Auto Assault MMORPG

Auto Assault has held a beta weekend event where it’s flung the doors open for everyone to play. This is very similar to what they done with Guild Wars. So, over the last couple of days I’ve been playing some A.A. Oh, I should note here that, all things considered, I find the initials for the game to be most amusing. Read more »

Header Graphics Must Die

Why must blog templates have header graphics? Is there some rule that states that a large chunk of the top of every blog must be occupied by some meaningless, hopefully (though rarely) artistic image?

It’s needless, it’s a waste of space, it’s a waste of bandwidth, and the trend needs to end. Now.

That is all. Thank you.

~Mysk (again)

edit: while I’m at it I’ll wish for the death of typos, too.. *sigh* I’ll get both at about the same time, I’m sure.

Of Jeeps And Aliens

This dream occurred on the night before my previous dream entry. In other words, the dream with Kerry in it is newer than this dream, but I’m posting this second because I didn’t want the details of the other dream to fade before I had a chance to post it.

The details of this dream are few but still quite enough to make a post about.

Have you ever seen the show Twin Peaks, or have you visited Bellingham, Washington or perhaps the New Hampshire area? The setting of the dream is like those areas. Mountains with lots of trees. It’s beautiful.

My vehicle in this dream was a new 4×4 jeep. It was very similar to a hummer, in fact, but was probably more jeep than hummer.

Here’s the part that I remember: It was dark and I was visiting a small store down the road from my cabin, which was positioned in the mountains amongst the trees (my idea place). The road that passed the store was relatively small and either side was flanked by the large, green trees. A very picturesque setting, and was perfect for what happens.

The store owner was some over weight friendly fellow who I knew by first name. I had purchased a single bag of supplies – drinks mostly, I think, along with some bread. I bid him good night and walked out of the shop in good humor.

The parking lot was mostly dirt. I remember the sound as I stepped up to the door of my jeep, opened it, put my bag in and sat behind the wheel. It was a comfortable seat. I turned the key, turned on the radio to listen to some pleasent driving music, and pulled the knob to turn on the head lights. Read more »

Of Old Crushes, and karate

Before I touch on the bits from the dream that I remember, I’m going to have to explain who Kerry is. Kerry Burns was my elementary school crush, and one of my biggest childhood crushes ever. She was the quiet, nice girl who was a sweetheart if you ever got the courage up to talk with her. She had cute mannerisms born from shyness and long, lovely dark hair. Obviously, my preferences in ladies were set at birth! ;)

Kerry was the type of gal who would shock you if she said “damn it”.

My crush on her was huge, and it shows. About a year (or so) ago my mother and I were eating lunch at Applebee’s here in Pittsburg. I had no clue that Kerry worked there at the time. I wasn’t even looking around the room, as I really don’t care what anyone else is doing. Kerry said something to someone from across the room and on the first word I knew exactly who she was! So even to this day I can recognize her from her voice, how sappy is that? hehe.

I think that I’ll always remember her with a smile. Thanks Kerry.

Last I knew she was still here in Pittsburg, and I sure hope that she’s doing well. As for looking her up, no, that would be way too stalkerish of me I think.
