Alyx Vance (HL2) Nude Photoshoot (updated)
Awhile back I had made a photoshoot of Alyx Vance from Half-Life 2 posing nude. I done that out of boredom, curiosity and a fascination with how realistic I could make the photoshoot appear. My aim with the photoshoot, in fact, was to make it look as much like a real world photo spread as I could; like something out of Playboy.
It got fairly close, me thinks.
My mindset was that none of it was real, it was a 3D computer model, and it never occurred to me that it would hit anyone negatively. Ironically I am generally offended with how women are used as images. So why this thought never came to me at the time is unknown.
Sadly, it required a rather offended dear old friend to point out to me what should have been obvious. I’ve deleted the photos as a result, and there are no backups on my computer. There couldn’t be, anyway, because Linspire corrupted the MBR of my hard drive which lead to the repeated formatting of the drive (which I later learned was not needed).
Searching for cached versions of this page will not produce the images. They were hosted on Flickr, not in this entry. WordPress.com has a nasty tendacy to delete images after a relatively short period of time and I have stopped uploading images to my blog entries here as a result of that.

Dreaming of Dreaming – A Hint of A True Nightmare
Sometime yesterday, I think it was, I posted a comment saying, “bring on the nightmares (especially if they’re on Elm street)”. Last night I seemed to have got my wish. I have some truly bizarre dreams and it takes quite a bit to shake me up, but last night’s was… well, it was something of a lesson in “be careful what you wish for”.
Last night’s dream was a bit trippier than most.
Of the details that I can recall…
Dizzieness Continues
It’s been roughly three days since I originally posted on SIM about being dizzy. Since then it’s fluctuated but hasn’t passed. There was one day when it became so light that I was almost sure that it’d be gone by the end of the day but that’s not been the case.
It seems to occurr the most when I moved my head around. Sitting still is generally alright, and oddly enough I can jump rope fine, but if I look down and then back up I experience vertigo. More so than looking side to side produces.
I kind of wish that I’d experience the hot & cold flashes and pass out again already. Hah. That said, when this originally occurred I think that it lasted three days as well.
Perhaps I should drink some coffee. :p Heh heh.
Huh, I just noticed that WordPress.com doesn’t have a field for Technorati tags. They aught to install the Simpletags plugin. Very handy. I’ll send that suggestion.

What’s Happened To My Halloween?
Halloween used to be an incredible time of the year. Weeks before the holiday itself we would have horror movie after horror movie on TV. Sure some of them got old, but seeing great films like American Werewolf In London brings back fond memories of a very frightened childhood.
Movie theaters, too, always jumped in on the occasion. You could easily expect three good horror flicks to be released. I couldn’t decide which to see first. Read more »
A Major Drawback On WordPress.com?
Do wordpress.com blogs not support the <!–nextpage–> tag? I just wrote a 4 or 5 page post and it completely ignored those tags.
Youch, this is bad news.
Mysk Welcomes You
First I would like to thank both Flock and WordPress.com for this blog space. Though I doubt that they’ll read this I find that it behooves me to say how I appreciate the hosting, the storage space and the effort that’s put into this, as well as the collaboration between Flock and WordPress.com. I wouldn’t have this account without any of that!
Now, what will be done with mysk.wordpress.com? That is still being decided but here is my plan so far:
- Use this for my personal posts, instead of using SIM for that
- Post my short stories to mysk.wordpress.com
- Possibly move my existing personal content from SIM to here.
SIM, of course, being Shadows In Motion.
This change also provides me with the possible opportunity to shed some of my old domain names. himysk.com can be swapped for ShadowsInMotion.com, for example, with himysk.com parked on SIM’s address. This would mean moving cat.myskyra.net to cat.shadowsinmotion.com but that’s quite alright; besides, I have a special idea for her: I plan on installing a wordpress blog for her!
Hm, I wonder if she could get a WordPress.com account? I would suggest to her getting Flock and trying to obtain an account here but I don’t want her to misinterpret the suggestion. Not that she would but I prefer to be careful when it comes to friends so dear.
Anyway, I’m rambling. I suppose that’s a somewhat forgivable offense when it comes to a blog post but I would prefer to stick on topic as much as my bouncing brain can do so. So I’ll close this with saying that I may not post here much just yet as I decide exactly what I’m going to do.
Or perhaps more to point, convince myself to go about moving quite a bit of content to this blog. Or alterantively, find a way to .. hm, there’s a thought. Create a category on SIM and call it “Old Content”, place all existing personal and similar posts into that category, link to it from here, then take off from there, here.
… heh heh, and you may have suspected that I was done rambling.
Oh, one last thing: I really like this interface. Kind of wish that I could have it in my other WordPress blog.
